it hasn't been a good day. not only have i done nothing except study, eat and drink tea, but i have managed to break a few things. the first was a picture frame. so. i opened a door, and another, all this resulted in a wind so unbelievably strong that the picture just decided to fall off the table. but looked at the positive side - i got to vacuum clean.
but screw the picture frame, it was IKEAn anyways. the real casualty happened to my teacup. my irreplaceable gustav klimt picture teacup. i had a real emotional understanding with the damn thing considering i have had AT LEAST 350 LITERS of tea from it. the fact that it's a half-a-liter cup might bring some enlightenment. yes, i know, no-one cares. except my mum who'll kill me for it. see, i lied when i said it was mine.
but these are not the real catastrophes. the shock horror is that we had 15 cm of snow on wednesday night. on the radio they said we have the SIBERIAN cold here in Luxembourg - it was about -5 degrees. celsius, that is. and due to the extreme cold and amount of snow, we got a snow-day. alright, it took some 7 hours to get home from work, but those are the clever people who've decided to live across the border.
i'd like to scream at the bus drivers for being so punctual and brave to drive in these conditions.
and as a tip, here's a way to win a war against luxembourg: send 16 cm of snow at them and they'll just drop dead. and if you do this for at least 13 years in a row, which would equal 13 years of snow-days, the luxembourgish youth will be downright stupid, i guarantee. but that wouldn't really make a difference anyways since their PISA test results are rubbish even if they go to school. i mean, who spits on cars? you've got to have a saliva factory or something to spit at each and every one that passes you.
despite the fact that snow equals the end of life here in luxembourg, it's actually nice. did you know that each and every snowflake is unique? check out this snowflake site. btw they are real photographs.
oiii musike, we've got 50 cm of snow :P:P:P
